Thai Massage

Thai massage is a strong type of massage which has it's orgins in Ayurvedic and Chinese Medicines, Hatha Yoga and Thervada Buddhism. Many poses experienced within a Thai Massage session, with it's pulls and pushes, turns and twists, reflect the poses used within yoga.

Unlike Western cities where learning a craft often means forking out a lot of money to learn in a group session, the Thai's will often teach you individually for the same hourly rate as they would for a full-body massage.

I did my sessions @ a massage centre called 'House of Massage' located close to Nai Harn Beach. I paid for an hour but my sessions lasted for at least 2 hours.

Just go to a therapist that you feel comfortable with and ask them if they are willing to teach you.

What to expect -

A fun experience (as most interactions with middle - aged Thai ladies are), learning an art that is sure to satisfy your current and future love interests.
These ladies are great and experienced massuses but inexperienced teachers. Lead them to what you want to know about Thai massage and make sure you learn about the 'feel' of the massage versus the order in which the poses are performed.

Cost -

$250 THB for one hour (or longer...)
